Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Software Developer (Backend) to deliver backend design and development for USAF missions. You will build RESTful APIs, manage databases, and optimize data models in a cloud environment with DevSecOps practices.

This remote role requires TS/SCI clearance with CI poly eligibility and potential travel up to 20%. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in software development, hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, and multiple tools like NPM, Maven, and SonarQube,

Qualifications

7 years of overall experience in the functional area.
Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.
3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
5 years of experience with at least five of the following: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
3 years of recent back-end web design and development experience.
Demonstrated experience with relational databases, RESTful API development/communication, and system integrations.
3 years of experience with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux.
DCWF Code: 632 Intermediate.
Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly required.
Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.

Responsibilities

Provide analytical skills to support process improvement and studies.
Perform back-end design and development tasks including RESTful API development and modification.
Develop and optimize data models and databases and support system integrations.
