Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Software Developer (Backend) to deliver back-end design and development for USAF mission systems, including RESTful API development, data model optimization, and cloud-based deployments. The role requires 7+ years of software development, DevSecOps experience, and proficiency with Jira, Jenkins, GitLab, and cloud technologies.

The position is remote and requires active TS/SCI with CI Poly; travel up to 10–20% may be needed.

Qualifications

• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area.
• 7 years of software development experience in OO and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• Experience preparing, conducting, and documenting systems tests.
• 3 years of experience with Jira and testing web-based apps.
• 3 years of experience in software development programs or projects.
• Experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified deployments.
• 5 years with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 3 years of back-end web development experience.
• Experience with relational databases and RESTful API development.
• 3 years of experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux.

Responsibilities

• Provide back-end design and development for USAF mission systems.
• Develop and modify RESTful APIs and data models.
• Support process improvement and requirements definition through analytics.
• Work with cloud and CI/CD tools to enable deployment and integration.
• Collaborate on system integrations across components and services.
