Job summary

Maximus seeks a Backend Software Developer to support USAF missions with backend design, RESTful APIs, and data modeling. Remote role requiring TS/SCI clearance; 10–20% travel may be needed. You will contribute to cloud deployments, CI/CD, and system integrations using Jira, Jenkins, and GitLab within a DoD context.

Required are 7+ years in software development, cloud experience, and strong backend/web expertise. Mastery of relational databases and secure software practices is essential.

Qualifications

7 years of overall experience in the functional area.
7 years of software development experience with DevSecOps and microservices.
3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and web apps testing.
3 years in software programs or projects.
Cloud environment development and data integration from unclassified to classified deployments.
5 years Jenkins and GitLab experience.
3 years backend web design and development.
Experience with relational databases and RESTful API development.
3 years AWS, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux.

Responsibilities

Develop back-end architectures to support system capabilities and integrations.
