Job summary

Vail Health Hospital invites qualified Registered Nurses to join a state-of-the-art healthcare system located in the mountains. The role emphasizes triage, coordination of care, and patient education, with responsibilities extending to documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Candidates must hold a Colorado RN license (or a valid compact state license) and have clinical experience across diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical experience with patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Knowledge of disease processes and normal growth and development across all age groups.
• Nursing assessment skills with/without visual inspection using basic nursing theory.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and assesses patient health care needs based on signs and symptoms using established triage protocols.
• Participates in weekly huddles to review KPI and ensure workflows meet KPI expectations.
• Documents symptoms, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller responses in the EHR.
• Coordinate and schedule same-day and future appointments on provider schedules.
• Follow policies and protocols to improve health care outcomes and continuity of care.
