The position requires a Colorado RN license or a compact state license, about 3 years of clinical experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and compliance with HIPAA and OSHA rules. On-site roles at Vail Health may offer housing or other benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Nursing assessment skills with/without visual inspection utilizing basic nursing theory required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Care coordination and professional nursing functions to assess health concerns using protocols and algorithms.
• Triages patient phone calls and portal messages in collaboration with providers.
• Documents symptoms, nursing assessment, advice and responses in the EHR.
• Participates in weekly huddles to review KPI and coordinate care.
• Ensures appropriate patient dispositions to emergency, urgent care and/or clinics.
• Assists in quality improvement and CPC+ care coordination activities.
