Job summary

Veolia Water Tech seeks a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate laboratory water purification systems across the Northeast region. The role is remote-travel based, covering Boston, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, with occasional support in nearby states.

You will collaborate with Technical Support, Sales, and Customer Service to deliver reliable, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of two years field service installing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel.
• Experience servicing laboratory water purification systems is highly preferred.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and service documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate laboratory water purification systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and updates to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment failures at customer sites.
• Complete service reports, calibration documentation, and all required paperwork accurately.
• Generate quotations for billable repairs and PMs.
• Proactively manage PMA opportunities within territory with Sales and Customer Service.
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance procedures.
• Respond to emergency service requests promptly with professional communication.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through expertise and service quality.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, inventory, and vehicle in good condition.
