Job summary

Veolia Water Tech is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory water purification systems in the Northeast region, with primary coverage in Boston, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, and occasional outings to VT and ME. You’ll travel extensively, work independently, and coordinate with Technical Support, Sales, and Customer Service to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years field service installing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication with customers at all levels.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple calls and admin tasks.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate lab water purification systems per procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and software updates.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical failures at customer sites.
• Replace defective components and restore equipment to spec.
• Complete service reports and administrative paperwork accurately and timely.
• Generate quotes for repairs, PMs, consumables, and upgrades.
• Proactively manage PMA opportunities within territory with Sales and Customer Service.
• Train customers on operation and maintenance procedures.
• Respond to emergency service requests with professionalism and speed.
• Maintain customer relationships with technical expertise and service quality.
• Keep tools, equipment, inventory, and vehicle organized and service-ready.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies in lab, pharma, healthcare, and industrial settings.
• Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call support.
• Collaborate with Tech Support and Engineering on issues and product improvements.
• Maintain knowledge through ongoing product training.
