Job summary

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory water purification systems across the Northeast region. The role requires frequent travel, including overnight stays, and collaboration with Technical Support, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure high-quality service.

You will work remotely from the assigned territory, covering Boston and surrounding states, with occasional support elsewhere in the US.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in field service installing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers at all levels.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel when necessary.
• Experience servicing laboratory water purification systems preferred.
• Experience servicing biomedical, medical diagnostic, analytical laboratory, pharmaceutical, or life science instrumentation desirable.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and technical service documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate laboratory water purification systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and software updates.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment at customer sites.
• Replace defective components and perform corrective maintenance.
• Complete service reports, calibration documents, and administrative paperwork.
• Generate quotations for repairs, PMs, and system upgrades.
• Proactively manage PMA opportunities within the territory.
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance practices.
• Respond to emergency service requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professionalism and technical expertise.
