Job summary

Veolia Water Tech is seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory water purification systems across a Northeast territory, including Boston and nearby states. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and field service experience.
• Minimum of two years of field service experience installing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers at all levels.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight travel.
• Experience servicing laboratory water purification systems or related biomedical instrumentation is highly preferred.
• Experience with RO, DI, UV disinfection, or water treatment equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and service documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate laboratory water purification systems per procedures and specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, software updates, and verification.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment at customer sites.
• Produce service reports, calibration docs, and other administrative paperwork on time.
• Generate quotes for repairs, PM agreements, consumables, and upgrades.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, inventory, and vehicle in good condition.
• Collaborate with Support and Engineering to resolve complex issues and identify improvements.
• Attend ongoing product training and professional development.
