Job summary

Moss is seeking an Apprenticeship Coordinator to support our field operations across Texas, Florida, Colorado, or remote locations. You will work with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams to enroll apprentices, monitor RTI and OJT, and mentor journeyworkers on site.

You will deliver selected courses, track progress, ensure compliance with apprenticeship regulations, and maintain records for state and federal regulators while traveling up to 50% to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years in apprenticeship or workforce development.
• Experience collaborating with field operations in a construction or skilled trades environment.
• Knowledge of utility-scale solar, construction trades, and apprenticeship regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office, LMS, and data tracking/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify and enroll apprentices and journeyworkers with civil, mechanical, and electrical field leadership.
• Ensure compliance with apprentice-to-journeyworker ratio requirements on assigned projects.
• Monitor journeyworker participation and ensure mentoring and supervision responsibilities are completed.
• Track RTI and OJT requirements and enforcement.
• Coordinate sessions for new apprentices and journeyworkers, including program expectations and compliance requirements.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend additional training opportunities.
• Assess and evaluate apprentice progress and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain records of OJT, RTI, evaluations, and compliance documentation.
• Utilize program dashboards and status reports using digital tracking systems.
• Ensure enrollment, registration, and retention documentation is complete and compliant.
• Prepare reports for state, federal, or other regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate scheduling, travel, and budget tracking.
