Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Manager - Network Design to lead a team that designs and optimizes routing and facility location to drive cost savings and service levels across the US network.

You will model cost-to-serve, evaluate fleet strategies, and collaborate with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain Planning, Sales, and 3PLs to translate complex analytics into actionable guidance for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• 8+ years in transportation analytics, network design, or data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of domestic transportation modes, regulations, and warehousing operations.
• Experience with network optimization and analytics tools (Descartes WinRoute & Alteryx).
• Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau for data visualization.
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills including statistics, regression and optimization.
• Excellent business writing and communication skills for presenting data.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transportation network design specialists.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics capabilities and service optimization.
• Optimize routing and location strategies using advanced modeling software.
• Design, implement, and maintain routing solutions that drive cost savings.
• Conduct cost-to-serve and fleet equipment analysis to support decisions.
• Translate network modeling outputs into clear insights for stakeholders.
• Ensure proposed designs align with real-world transport and warehousing capabilities.
