Job summary

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Transportation Broker to lead growth within a defined territory. This remote role focuses on building agency partnerships, quoting trucking and workers' compensation insurance, and delivering strong submission flow.

You will manage a high-volume pipeline from submission to bind, collaborate with underwriters, and travel regularly within your territory as needed. A valid P&C license (or within 120 days) and 5+ years in commercial insurance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license, or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• 5+ years in commercial insurance; trucking/transportation or workers' comp preferred.
• Proven ability to manage a submission/sales pipeline with strong attention to detail.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed production goals for written policy and premium within your assigned territory.
• Build and strengthen retail agency partnerships through in-person meetings, phone outreach, and tech-enabled engagement.
• Solicit, place, and service trucking-related insurance accounts, driving high-quality submission flow.
• Manage a high-volume pipeline from submission through bind.
• Quote accounts with internal partners and outside underwriters to move from submission to bind.
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide prompt, friendly service to retail agents.
• Stay current on industry trends, carrier changes, and appetites to position accounts.
• Develop long-term relationships with agents to expand the network.
• Cross-sell products across the organization when opportunities arise.
• Contribute to revenue growth through additional initiatives and priorities.
