Job summary

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter to join our team and lead risk selection and pricing for endorsements, renewals, and new business across various carriers. This role reports to the VP of Transportation and requires strong P&C underwriting expertise and a customer-focused approach.

You will assess risk, price supporting documents, and liaise with brokers while maintaining alignment with underwriting guidelines and company culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Transportation Underwriter in a multi-state and multi-line commercial insurance environment.
• Remote work 100% of the time is required if not local to the Greater Cleveland area.
• Advanced knowledge of underwriting and pricing principles and ability to apply program criteria and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business according to guidelines and authority.
• Provide customer service by responding promptly and courteously to requests for information.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and issuance of policies and documentation.
