Job summary

One80 Intermediaries seeks a Senior Commercial Transportation Underwriter to join the team. The role focuses on risk selection and pricing of endorsements, renewals, and new business across multi-state and multi-line commercial insurance.

Remote work from a home office is required for this position. Reporting to the VP of Transportation, you will price risks, communicate guidelines, and manage broker relationships while supporting division goals and culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Transportation Underwriter in a multi-state and multi-line commercial insurance environment.
• Strong capability to underwrite and price endorsements, renewals, and new business within guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business according to guidelines and authority.
• Underwrite lines including general liability, auto liability, physical damage, umbrella/excess, property, crime, motor truck cargo.
• Provide timely and courteous customer service to brokers and agents.
• Ensure accurate policy issuance and documentation; may delegate tasks to an underwriting assistant.
• Communicate underwriting guidelines and requirements to brokers clearly.
• Review inspection reports to assess risk quality and exposure base accuracy.
• Manage relationships with assigned brokers and agents.
