Job summary

One80 Intermediaries seeks a Senior Commercial Underwriter to join our transportation underwriting team. You will assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business, guided by underwriting manuals and program criteria, while building broker relationships.

Remote work from a home office is required for non-local candidates and you will work closely with the VP of Transportation to ensure timely issuance of policies across multi-state lines, with strong emphasis on accuracy and customer

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Transportation Underwriter.
• Remote work from home office 100% of the time if not local to Greater Cleveland area.
• Strong technical P&C underwriting knowledge.
• ISO class codes and CLM rules knowledge.
• Excellent communication with brokers and agents.

Responsibilities

• Assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business according to guidelines and authority.
• Provide customer service by responding promptly and courteously to requests for information.
• Ensure timely preparation and issuance of policies; delegate tasks as needed.
• Communicate company standards and underwriting guidelines to brokers.
• Order/review inspection reports to assess risk quality and exposure.
