Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering and lean methods to boost safety, quality, delivery and cost.

You will develop CI plans, drive automation projects, and collaborate with operations to achieve measurable improvements. Strong Power BI and Excel skills and transportation domain knowledge are required; occasional travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Required).
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain industry (Required).
• Transportation experience (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL) (Required).
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio (Expert).
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) experience (Intermediate).
• Knowledge of Lean tools and CI methodologies (Preferred).
• Knowledge of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks; multiple tools (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive CI initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Support go-live and steady-state certifications; identify automation opportunities.
• Coach teams in Lean principles and CI methods across the operation.
• Provide regular data reports and track progress against site objectives.
