Actalent is seeking a Transmission Line Technical Manager to lead day-to-day delivery across utility client programs, mentoring engineers and guiding project portfolios in the power delivery market. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
• 10+ years in utility/power delivery/transmission line engineering with increasing responsibility.
• 6+ years in consulting or client-facing delivery with clients and stakeholders.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams across distributed delivery.
• Experience managing risk across a portfolio > $5M revenue.
• Strong transmission line delivery knowledge: scope, schedule, resourcing, estimating, client communication.
• Proficient in transmission line design and tools like PLS-CAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for updates to clients and leadership.
• Experience managing finances, utilization, staffing plans, and metrics.
• Client-focused with ability to balance technical quality and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams delivering transmission line engineering services for utility clients.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship in design and delivery.
• Establish quality controls to ensure safe, accurate, cost-effective project execution.
• Monitor portfolio health: scope, schedule, budget, staffing, risks, client satisfaction.
• Communicate delivery performance and risks to leadership and clients.
• Escalate and resolve scope changes and delivery impacts promptly.
• Partner with clients to align priorities and keep deliverables progressing.
• Serve as client-facing liaison to address issues and remove barriers.
• Support invoicing, resourcing, and execution issues affecting delivery.
• Drive training and career growth within the transmission practice.
