Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to manage a collaborative team on electric transmission line design projects for major utilities.

The role emphasizes client relations, staff management, and project execution in a 100% remote setting within the U.S. You will guide analyses, PLS-CADD modeling, and procurement documentation while mentoring staff and driving portfolio improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Civil preferred.
• 8+ years in electric utility transmission design with Bachelor's, or 6+ with Master’s.
• Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Team oriented with strong communication to clients.
• Willingness for onsite work and travel as needed.
• Mentoring staff and developing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple design teams on projects for multiple clients.
• Develop and train engineering talent within the team.
• Approve timesheets and manage performance reviews.
• Support proposals and scope definitions for new work.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables and strong client relationships.
