Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr Transmission Line Engineer for a fully remote role supporting a large utility client. The position sits in the Transmission Line Engineering Department and involves leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with in-house and client engineers.

The role requires a PE, ABET-accredited degrees, and strong experience in 69–765 kV design, with PLS-CADD proficiency and project leadership. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

ABET accredited degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
PE license required; master's degree counts toward experience.
Experience leading transmission line design projects and teams.

Responsibilities

Engineer and design transmission line projects; routing, foundations, specs, schedules.
Prepare construction documents: plan/profile drawings, specs, BOMs.
Develop design alternatives with cost estimates.
Design 69–765 kV facilities and model with PLS-CADD.
Attend bid/construction meetings; ensure safety and schedules.
Lead and mentor engineers; coordinate with agencies and contractors.
Act as project lead for transmission projects; train lower-level staff.
