Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer for a fully remote role. You will work within the Transmission Line Engineering Department to support a large utility client, collaborating with in-house and client engineers and graphics staff.

The Lead Engineer will mentor a small team and oversee project delivery from inception through construction. The role emphasizes design of 69 kV–765 kV facilities, development of construction documents, cost estimates, and coordination with regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (ABET).
• Master's degree (ABET) will count toward years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze transmission line projects from 69 kV to 765 kV.
• Prepare construction documents, drawings, specifications, schedules and BOMs.
• Lead and coordinate work with internal/external engineers, contractors, and regulators.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and oversee a TL engineering team.
• Model transmission line designs using PLS-CADD.
• Travel to sites as needed and ensure safety and schedule compliance.
