Job summary

GFT is seeking an OE Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Business Group, offering hybrid work options in multiple locations or remote for the right candidate. You will lead transmission line project designs for major utility clients and ensure compliance with standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Civil/Electrical/Structural Eng, 4+ years in transmission line design, proficiency in PLS-CADD, knowledge of FAD Tools, and PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering
• 4+ years of transmission line design experience
• In-depth knowledge of NESC/IEEE and related codes
• High proficiency in PLS-CADD
• Knowledge of FAD Tools
• Experience in electrical utility consulting preferred
• PE license is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee transmission line project designs as Owner’s Engineer
• Lead project discussions with clients and project teams
• Review consultants’ submittals for constructability and compliance with client standards
