Job summary

GFT is seeking an OE Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Business Group. You will lead transmission line design projects for a major utility client, acting as Owner’s Engineer and guiding project teams from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering, 4+ years of transmission line design experience, and strong knowledge of NESC/IEEE codes, with high proficiency in PLS-CADD and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of transmission line design experience.
• Knowledge of NESC, IEEE and other codes and standards.
• High proficiency in PLS-CADD and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission line project designs as Owner’s Engineer for a major utility client.
• Navigate design complexities and review submittals for constructability and compliance.
• Lead project discussions with clients and project teams.
