GFT is seeking an OE Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Business Group. This hybrid role supports major utility clients in the US, leading transmission line designs, reviewing submittals, coordinating feasibility studies, and mentoring engineers.

You will apply NESC/IEEE/NEC standards and use PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, and STAAD to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure. Candidates will have a Bachelor’s in engineering, 4+ years in transmission design, strong technical

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 4+ years of experience in transmission line design.
• In-depth knowledge of NESC, IEEE, and related standards.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD.
• Experience with FAD Tools.
• PE license is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead and oversee transmission line project designs as Owner’s Engineer.
• Review client submittals for constructability and compliance.
• Review transmission line segments using PLS-CADD or similar tools.
• Check design criteria documents and construction specs.
• Review construction packages and staking charts.
• Monitor schedules and ensure timely material orders.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, IEEE, NEC and industry standards.
• Coordinate feasibility and routing studies and EMF calculations.
• Oversee project implementation and verify foundations and equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
