Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to join our EPC Solutions Team. You will design overhead and underground transmission systems for major developers and utilities, collaborating across disciplines to deliver construction-ready packages and final as-builts.

You’ll grow under direct PE supervision, gaining increasing ownership of critical design decisions and client-facing responsibilities. The role emphasizes hands-on design, project development, and cross-team collaboration, with

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze transmission structures using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER per NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and related standards.
Support projects from routing and engineering analysis through material procurement and construction-ready packages to as-builts and close-out.
Collaborate with designers and engineers from other disciplines and project management to keep designs moving toward the field.
Participate in client-facing project work to build communication skills and project credibility.
Work under the guidance of a licensed PE with increasing ownership of design decisions.
