Job summary

Westcor Land Title Insurance is seeking a Title Curative Specialist to evaluate title searches and resolve complex title issues in a fast-paced environment. You will work with underwriting guidelines and communicate with lienholders, attorneys, and clients to ensure timely, compliant resolutions.

Key responsibilities include coordinating clearance documentation, obtaining releases for liens, and meeting client SLAs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of curative experience in the title industry, national or regional experience preferred.
• Commercial and Purchase experience preferred
• Ability to make well-reasoned risk decisions.
• Experience utilizing ResWare or similar title software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates title search, researches, and resolves title issues and discrepancies based on underwriting standards.
• Determines solutions for clearing title issues and acts to resolve them.
• Obtains releases for prior liens, reviews divorce decrees, trusts, and corporate documents.
• Coordinates with underwriting counsel to resolve curative matters.
• Orders and follows up on clearance documentation and communicates with lienholders or attorneys.
• Provides estimated title curative resolution dates and tracks progress to meet SLAs.
• Delivers completed documents to clients and ensures timely submission.
• Performs duties to prioritize daily work and meet client metrics.
