Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Territory Manager for Construction Services Business Development within Commercial Lines. This role focuses on building agency relationships across the Michigan territory, driving profitable growth, and managing complex underwriting and sales activities remotely with occasional travel.

Ideal candidates bring seven years of commercial underwriting and sales experience, strong agency partnerships, and knowledge of middle-market construction insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• CPCU or CIC designation preferred.
• Seven years of progressively responsible underwriting and sales experience in commercial line business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors market conditions and conducts risk research to win accounts.
• Analyzes risks and reviews agency books of business to improve profitability.
• Quotes, prices and underwrites new and renewal policies for complex accounts.
• Manages workflow and coordinates with teams to meet service level agreements.
• Drives agency business planning and nurtures relationships with agencies and producers.
• Markets Nationwide products and services to drive pipeline and profitability.
