Job summary

Merck is seeking a Territory Representative to cover the Southern Detroit, MI area, engaging veterinary clinics, shelters, and corporate accounts with our Animal Health portfolio. You will tailor discussions to customer needs, build strong relationships, and identify growth opportunities within a collaborative field-sales team.

Responsibilities include developing territory plans, partnering with account teams, and delivering education on products and services while traveling within the territory

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5+ years in sales, distribution, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 0–3 years sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and drive sales in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Understanding of customer biology and market trends in animal health.

Responsibilities

• Communicate Animal Health portfolio relevance to each customer.
• Serve as primary contact for key customers and drive account growth.
• Develop territory and account plans with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate to align resources across Animal Health portfolio.
• Analyze sales results and manage expenses within budget.
• Identify programs to address customer needs and provide education.
