Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Territory Representative to drive sales in the Southern Detroit, MI area. The role centers on understanding veterinary clinic and corporate accounts, delivering Animal Health solutions, and aligning with our customer-centric strategy.

You will collaborate with field teams to expand account opportunities, develop plans for key customers, and stay ahead of industry trends while traveling to meet clients and support a broad portfolio of products.

Qualifications

High school diploma with at least 5 years of relevant sales/distribution or related experience.
Bachelor’s Degree with 0–3 years of sales experience.

Responsibilities

Communicates Animal Health product portfolio in a meaningful way for each customer.
Primary contact for assigned customers; meet key decision makers to understand needs and identify opportunities.
Develop customer strategy and territory plans to drive account sales growth.
Collaborate with National Account Managers and Distribution Partners to focus on key accounts.
Foster a One Company approach to enhance knowledge of the Animal Health portfolio.
Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
Identify programs and education opportunities to address customer needs.
