Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a remote-based Technical Writer who will bridge communication between SMEs and front-end users. You will research, write, edit, format, and maintain IT governance documentation including policies, procedures, and SOPs.

The role requires 3–5 years of technical writing in IT, strong Microsoft Office and documentation tools skills, plus excellent verbal and written communication. Expect a fully remote schedule with flexible collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years technical writing and training experience in a fast-paced IT organization.
• Experience working directly with technical and operational team members.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn new processes, software, hardware and technical concepts quickly.
• Analytical mindset with ability to digest large amounts of data.
• Time management to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of the 7 C's of Technical Writing.
• Proficiency with documentation software.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze information with operational users, developers, and data engineers to gather accurate documentation.
• Review sources to determine what to include in materials.
• Write, edit, format and present materials with diagrams and charts for various audiences.
• Create and maintain IT governance documentation (policies, procedures, SOPs).
• Test content for consistency and accuracy and conduct user testing.
• Maintain yearly reviews and updates on IT governance documentation.
• Communicate clearly, with strong verbal and written skills.
• Provide training materials and presentations; support other duties as needed.
