Job summary

GovCIO seeks a Technical Project Analyst to support the Technical Program Manager on a fast-paced federal technology program. You will own day-to-day program controls, maintain trackers, drive action follow-through, and surface risks early.

You will translate complex IT terminology into clear status updates for leadership and collaborate across internal teams and subcontractors. The ideal candidate has strong documentation, communication, and Excel/SharePoint skills, with experience in IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, CSM, SAFe are preferred but not required.
• Clearance: Public Trust.
• Experience coordinating programs/PMO support in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization and follow-through.
• Hands-on experience maintaining trackers, logs, and schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical discussions into actions.
• Familiarity with IT delivery concepts and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Proficiency with Excel (formulas, pivot tables), SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
• Sound judgment on when to act independently or escalate to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain program trackers including actions, decisions, risks/issues, dependencies, milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor schedules across workstreams and escalate overdue or at-risk items to TPM.
• Incorporate changing priorities while keeping commitments on track.
• Proactively follow up with teams and subcontractors to obtain status and deliverables.
• Support customer coordination within communication boundaries and escalate as needed.
• Prepare agendas and materials for meetings; capture decisions and owners; update documentation.
• Draft status reports, presentations, and SOPs for leadership review.
• Maintain tracking solutions in Excel, SharePoint, and 365 apps; identify automation opportunities.
