Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Technical Operations Support Specialist I for a fully remote role within the United States. You will deliver high-quality technical support for Paylocity’s HR and payroll applications, handling escalated issues and assisting internal teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in customer service or help desk roles, payroll experience, and strong Excel/SQL skills. A Bachelor's degree and excellent communication are required to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer service role; help desk/technical support preferred
• Bachelor's degree required
• Intermediate MS Office skills; Excel with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
• Strong oral and written communication

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support by troubleshooting software and hardware issues using remote tools
• Serve as the first point of contact for clients and internal inquiries via cases, emails, and calls
• Support clients in modifying items such as Time off, Time and Attendance, Tax Items, ACA, GL, Reporting, and security requests
• Document interactions throughout the life cycle and identify recurring issues or trends
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and improve software performance
• Share knowledge and support team learning across the organization
• Use Excel tools to manage and analyze data
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users
• Represent the team in client interactions and meetings
• Remain flexible to business needs and varying shifts
