Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Technical Operations Support Specialist I for its fully remote US operations. The role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support for Paylocity’s HR, payroll, and data insights reporting modules, addressing escalated client issues and supporting internal teams.

You will troubleshoot software functionality, payroll transmission issues, and database-related problems, while maintaining clear communication with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer service or help desk/technical support role.
• Minimum 1 year of payroll experience.
• Strong MS Excel skills: imports, PivotTables, VLOOKUP.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Technical aptitude to learn database tools (SQL or similar).
• Experience with Paylocity Payroll is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support by troubleshooting software and hardware issues using remote tools.
• Serve as the first point of contact for clients and internal inquiries via cases, emails, and calls.
• Assist clients in modifying items such as Time off Accruals, Time and Attendance, Tax Items, ACA, General Ledger, Reporting, Custom Calculations, and security requests.
• Document all interactions through the full lifecycle and identify recurring issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and improve software performance.
