Job summary
Primer.io, a global payments infrastructure platform, is seeking a technically hands-on professional to own merchant integrations and incidents. You will debug complex payment flows, design solutions with engineering, and proactively manage risk for enterprise merchants.
Ideal candidates have experience in payments/fintech roles, strong API/webhook/SDK knowledge, and the credibility to present technical material to senior stakeholders. This role is fully remote with international opportunities.
Qualifications
- Hands-on ability reading API logs and traces to debug integrations.
- Experience in a technical, merchant-facing role in payments/fintech or ecommerce.
- Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and SDKs and how to explain flows.
- Proactive in identifying and surfacing risk before being asked.
- Credible presenter to senior technical stakeholders (VP Eng, Head of Payments).
Responsibilities
- Monitor merchant integration and payment performance to flag risks early.
- Recommend routing/NT/config changes with a business case.
- Perform integration debugging using logs, traces and API behavior.
- Own technical escalation during incidents with engineering and Support.
- Lead technical deep-dives and solution design with merchants.
- Run regular integration health reviews with stakeholders.
- Translate regulatory changes into concrete technical plans for merchants.
