Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an entry-level technical customer support professional for a contract-to-hire role based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The position is fully remote and involves handling high-volume calls, emails, and product queries, while guiding customers through installation and usage steps.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, documenting interactions, and escalating to the right source when needed. Prior hardware/home improvement exposure is a plus; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year experience in a product-based customer support function and/or call center environment is preferred but not required
• Previous experience in the hardware and home improvement industry preferred
• Technical mindset and the willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Receive consumer calls and emails regarding problems, installation instructions and general product information.
• Answer high volume incoming technical support calls.
• Provide knowledge to consumers and direct them to the proper source when needed.
• Handle a high volume of calls with tact and strong consumer service orientation per company guidelines.
• Document interactions and capture relevant data in the computer system.
• Respond to consumer repairs and requests according to Consumer Service procedures.
• Evaluate product problems to decide if repair or replacement is needed.
• Assist consumers on installation techniques, product features and models as requested by customer service.
