Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, LLP is seeking a Talent Services Operations Specialist to join our HR team. The role supports background check processes for new hires in a remote or hybrid setup from New Jersey or Miramar.

You will handle reports, verify documents, and ensure compliance with FCRA and data protection standards. The ideal candidate has research-driven capabilities, strong confidentiality, and excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Legal/HR.
• 5 years’ experience in Legal, Research, HR in a large or medium organization.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Processes background checks under federal/state guidelines.
• Reviews CVs, transcripts, and documents for accuracy.
• Identifies discrepancies and liaises with team for verification.
• Communicates with recruiters to obtain missing information.
• Reviews references and may contact professional references.
• Documents findings and provides summary to leadership for decisions.
• Ensures timely turnaround and conducts necessary research.
• Maintains accurate records and logs of activity.
• Monitors status of background checks and follows up with offices.
• Initiates international/background check requests and issues clearances as needed.
• May submit education and license verifications in Workday.
• Applies best practices for pre-adverse/adverse actions under laws.
