Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Tajiki (Tajik Persian) Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. The role involves real-time Tajiki-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, impartiality, and confidentiality.

Remote work is available using USCIS-approved secure systems. Candidates should have 2+ years of interpreting experience and be eligible for Tier 3/5 security clearance as a U.S.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Tajiki and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, government preferred).
• Understanding of interpreter ethics and confidentiality.
• Strong communication skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Tajiki-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS personnel and applicants.
• Interpret accurately, impartially, and professionally in immigration and legal contexts.
• Maintain confidentiality per USCIS/DHS standards.
• Handle scheduled and urgent surge interpretation needs.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.
