Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC seeks Kazakh Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support the USCIS contract. Kazakh is a strategic language for asylum and immigration cases, with real-time interpretation for interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.

Responsibilities include accurate, impartial interpretation in immigration/legal contexts, adherence to confidentiality, and availability for scheduled and surge assignments.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Kazakh and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, or government preferred).
• Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Kazakh to English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
• Deliver interpretation with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
• Adhere to USCIS/DHS interpreter standards and confidentiality rules.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.
