Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Systems Administrator to install, configure, and maintain OS workstations and servers, including web servers, to support business processes.

The role involves software installations, system monitoring, backups, and adherence to IT policies. Remote/hybrid work is available, with potential on-site meetings as needed. Strong knowledge of Windows/OS and PowerShell is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years related experience.
• High School Diploma or GED with eight years related experience.
• Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with rules/regulations.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and software packages.
• Schedules installations and upgrades per IT policies.
• Monitors and tunes systems for optimum performance.
• Monitors system licensing and maintenance agreements.
• Ensures data integrity and recovery through backups and archiving.
• Supports media management and offsite storage retrievals.
• Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.
• Conducts routine hardware/software audits for compliance.
• Maintains documentation for OS/hardware configurations.
• Performs scripting (PowerShell, Bash) as needed.
• Supports risk management and change management practices.
