Job summary

ActBlue is seeking a Systems Administrator II for a fully remote, full-time role supporting distributed teams across the U.S. The role emphasizes identity management, access controls, and data governance to meet SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA standards. You will collaborate with Security, Legal, and Data Governance to implement automation and secure IT practices.

The position reports to the Sr. IT Manager and offers generous benefits, including health insurance, 401k matching, and home-office stipends;

Qualifications

• 3+ years in systems administration with compliance- and security-driven projects
• Experience with identity and access management platforms and MDM tools
• Familiarity with macOS governance and patch compliance
• Experience integrating SaaS tools and platforms
• Exposure to workflow automation/orchestration tools and AI-driven IT tools
• Knowledge of SOC 1/2, NIST, PCI DSS and data privacy standards
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to document policies and processes

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and manage secure cloud-based IT systems with focus on identity management, MDM, endpoint security, and SaaS integrations
• Collaborate with Security, Legal, and Data Governance to ensure regulatory compliance and proper controls
• Manage user identity lifecycle, RBAC, least privilege, and access audits
• Develop data governance controls including data classification, retention, DLP, and secure handling
• Create documentation, playbooks, and knowledge resources for IT operations
• Design IT process automation for onboarding/offboarding, provisioning, and compliance checklists
• Support audits and evidence gathering for compliance reporting
• Stay updated on evolving privacy and security standards
• Contribute to IT project delivery with cross-functional teams
