Job summary

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Cloud Security Administrator to join the Information Technology - Security team in a fully remote role. You will support day-to-day cloud security operations, collaborate with IT, MSSP, Networking, DevOps, and other groups to ensure proper security controls, and participate in incident response and client security audits.

The role focuses on auditing cloud systems, configuring security baselines, and reviewing access and privilege management, with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a closely related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience (CISSP helpful)
• Proficiency in Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure, Office 365, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting & interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper employment of security solutions including Cloud Security Posture Management, SIEM, and other cloud security settings
• Help teams securely deploy resources in our cloud environment
• Administer cloud-based privilege access and conduct regular access reviews
• Implement and monitor cloud-based security baselines and controls
• Monitor Security Posture of firm cloud-based resources
• Proactively review security events via the firm's SIEM solution and security dashboards
• Monitor resources to identify and respond to vulnerabilities and anomalous activity
• Work with DevOps to monitor/maintain/improve the security posture of their code and pipelines
• Participate in incident response as part of the CSIRT
• Assist with audits and questionnaires
• Be part of a call tree to handle incidents that may arise after hours
