ActBlue is seeking a Systems Administrator II for a fully remote, full-time role supporting distributed teams across the U.S. The role emphasizes identity management, access controls, and data governance to meet SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA standards. The Systems Administrator II will design, implement, and continually improve ActBlue’s internal IT systems, ensuring they meet the needs of a wide variety of stakeholders and stay aligned with evolving compliance, operational, and industry standards. In this role, you will help uphold data protection practices, manage access and identity infrastructure, and contribute to technical decisions that shape the day-to-day experience of a distributed team.
This position requires a strong technical foundation and a growing understanding of how system architecture connects to organizational compliance needs — including SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA. You will identify and help reduce risk across systems, build and implement automation, and help embed data privacy and security into how ActBlue manages information and operations.
This role reports to the Sr. IT Manager and is part of the Systems Administration team, partnering closely with our Desktop Support team and collaborating cross-departmentally to deliver solutions that support the broader goals of the organization.
This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. Travel may be required to attend all-staff, departmental retreats, or select meetings. Additional travel may be required for select positions.

This role requires availability during established, regular business hours (Mon-Fri) and potentially could be expected to be a part of an on-call rotation which will result in working nontraditional hours as needed.
Employees can expect to work with distributed teams across all U.S. time zones. Our roles require extended technology usage, and proficiency with virtual communication tools such as Zoom and Slack. Regular attendance in virtual meetings is inherent to every position.
Salary Range: $65,658 - $81,543 - $97,428
ActBlue is committed to consistent compensation practices across our organization. Final salary offers will take into account factors such as candidate experience, interview performance and current team salary parity.
The terms and conditions of this position are subject to a collective bargaining Communication Workers of America (CWA), Local 1400.
