Job summary

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Cloud Security Administrator to join our Information Technology - Security team in a remote role. You will support day-to-day cloud security operations, collaborate with the Security team, MSP, Networking, and DevOps to maintain secure cloud configurations, and participate in audits and incident response.

The role emphasizes access reviews, security baselines, and monitoring cloud security posture across firm resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience (CISSP helpful).
• Proficiency in Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure, Office 365).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper employment of security solutions including, but not limited to, Cloud Security Posture Management, SIEM, and other cloud security settings.
• Help teams securely deploy resources in our cloud environment.
• Administer cloud-based privilege access and conduct regular access reviews.
• Implement and monitor cloud-based security baselines and controls.
• Monitor Security Posture of firm cloud-based resources.
• Proactively review security events via the firm's SIEM solution and security dashboards.
• Monitor resources to identify and respond to vulnerabilities and anomalous activity.
• Work with DevOps to monitor/maintain/improve the security posture of their code and pipelines.
• Participate in incident response as part of the CSIRT.
• Assist with audits and questionnaires.
• Be part of a call tree to handle incidents that may arise after hours.
