Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking an experienced Associate, Systems Administrator to support and manage our server and platform infrastructure. The role involves patch management, lifecycle planning, automation scripting, and on-call guidance within a collaborative technology team.

The position requires 5+ years of experience in systems administration, hands-on work with AWS/Azure, Kiteworks, and scripting in PowerShell/Python/Terraform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required or combined education/experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in systems administration or similar roles.
• Experience with enterprise platforms in production environments.
• Hands-on administration with AWS and Azure services (compute, storage, networking, identity).
• Experience implementing infrastructure solutions from defined requirements with limited supervision.
• Strong Windows Server and Linux administration experience (CentOS, Linux 2, Alma Linux, etc.).
• Automation scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Terraform).
• Knowledge of security hardening standards (CIS Benchmarks) and secure computing practices.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point (Tier 2/3) for server, platform, and infrastructure issues.
• Support infrastructure workstreams on site and in project development efforts, with input on design, estimates, and risk.
• Gather and document system requirements, support build, cutover, and transition of new products/services.
• Maintain patch/release cadence and create/present change records at the Change Advisory Board.
• Administer the Kiteworks platform including config, upgrades, and end-user support.
• Communicate effectively with peers and non-technical staff.
• Maintain build standards, hardening baselines, runbooks, and procedures; update as needed.
• Perform troubleshooting remotely or on-site, including software/hardware installation and configuration.
• Provide guidance to Analyst-level administrators and review their work for accuracy.
• Configure/maintain monitoring, alerting, and performance baselines; plan capacity and tuning.
• Support restoration efforts for Severity 1/2 incidents; assist root-cause analyses.
• Develop automation/orchestration scripts (PowerShell, Python, Terraform).
• Maintain backup/recovery configurations; test restores; support DR/BC exercises.
• Track lifecycle/end-of-life for platforms; plan upgrades and vendor renewals.
• Manage privileged access and enforce security baselines with InfoSec.
• Participate in on-call rotation with current runbooks.
