Job summary

TrueSeek, a privately held electrical distributor with nearly 80 years of industry expertise, is seeking two Senior Switchgear Estimators to join a growing team supporting commercial and industrial electrical distribution projects. Fully remote with preference for Central or Eastern Time, you will read drawings and prepare detailed quotations leveraging your knowledge of switchgear and vendor gear lines.

The role requires 3+ years in switchgear quotations or estimating, experience with Square D

Qualifications

• 3+ years of switchgear quotations estimating project management or closely related electrical distribution experience.
• Background from a wholesale electrical distributor or direct manufacturer experience with Schneider Electric and Square D required; experience with other major OEM platforms such as Eaton Siemens or ABB a plus
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed switchgear quotations for commercial and industrial projects including complex power distribution packages and custom configurations while reading and interpreting electrical drawings one-line diagrams specifications and project documentation to develop accurate and competitive bids with accuracy and efficiency
• Build equipment packages around project specifications identifying appropriate gear components options and potential substitutions while coordinating with manufacturers contractors salespeople and internal teams to obtain pricing validate lead times and confirm technical requirements
• Manage RFQs bid documentation scope reviews revisions and multiple concurrent quotation opportunities while supporting the sales team with value engineering scope clarification product selection and technical guidance throughout the pre-sale process
• Apply deep knowledge of Schneider Electric and Square D gear lines and the SE Advantage Portal to deliver precise and competitive quotations while managing multiple complex bids and deadlines independently in a fully remote setting
