Job summary

City Electric Supply is seeking a Gear Specialist to support our customers by providing estimates and blueprint takeoffs for bid jobs. You will work with our internal quotation software and focus on switchgear and power distribution.

The role requires a technical mindset, willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate with branches, customer service, and the CES Online team to deliver accurate material estimates.

Qualifications

• Experience with gear and power distribution concepts.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with cost estimation and BOM/takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for switchgear and power distribution.
• Analyze diagrams and determine switchgear type.
• Prepare material cost estimates.
• Qualify BoM requests and take offs.
• Read electrical specifications and drawings.
• Collaborate with branches and customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Review and follow up on switchgear projects.
• Work cross-functionally within the CES Online division.
• Develop and maintain positive relations with customers and coworkers.
• Partner with the community.
