Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead our survey group, manage projects from start to finish, and drive cross-market opportunities in residential/commercial land development and renewable energy. You will work in a hybrid or remote arrangement with a collaborative team of office and field staff.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in the survey industry, PLS/RLS certification, and strong experience with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Licensed survey professional (PLS/RLS) with 8+ years of survey experience.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, construction staking, and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team drafting, reviewing, and finalizing site plans and construction documents.
• Review survey data using latest technology and software.
• Analyze site conditions, legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easements, condo docs.
• Plan, organize, and supervise field crews and office staff.
• Provide oversight on large-scale ALTA surveys for solar or wind projects.
• Guide junior staff on permit apps, cut sheets, estimates, transmittals; organize plans.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete assignments on time and within budgets.
• Attend paid training and industry events.
• Mentor staff with training plans and career development.
• Reward staff with spot bonuses and peer recognition.
