Job summary

Atwell, LLC in the United States is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead a dynamic survey group across residential and commercial land development and renewable energy projects. You will manage projects end-to-end with a collaborative team of office and field staff.

The role emphasizes mentoring staff, coordinating ALTA surveys, and ensuring timely, compliant deliverables using Trimble BCT and AutoCAD Civil 3D, with opportunities for hybrid or remote working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Professional Survey License (PLS / RLS)
• 8+ years of survey industry-related work experience
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team.
• Prior experience with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Strong understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, data collection, and real estate documents

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and lead a team responsible for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing site plans and construction documents.
• Review project survey data using the latest technology and software.
• Analyze site conditions and factors for development, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, and condo documents.
• Plan, organize, and supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff.
• Provide oversight on large-scale ALTA surveys for solar or wind power projects (preferred).
• Guide junior staff through permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals; organize site and construction documents.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete tasks on time and within budgets.
• Attend training, conferences, and networking events; support staff development and career planning.
