Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead our survey group across residential, commercial land development and renewable energy projects. You will manage projects from start to finish with a hybrid or remote work arrangement, collaborating with office and field staff.

You will mentor junior team members, oversee ALTA surveys, and ensure deliverables meet schedules and budgets using Trimble TBC and AutoCAD Civil 3D. A PLS/RLS license and 8+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Survey License (PLS/RLS) required.
• 8+ years of survey industry experience.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team.
• Experience with ALTA/Boundary surveys and construction staking preferred.
• Familiarity with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, and finalize site plans and documents.
• Review survey data using latest software.
• Analyze site conditions and legal descriptions.
• Plan, organize, and supervise survey crews and staff.
• Oversee ALTA surveys for solar/wind projects as needed.
• Guide staff on permits, cut sheets, estimates, and transmittals.
• Mentor staff and support training plans.
