Qualifications

• Must have CPC or CCS-P certification (AAPC/AHIMA) with 5+ years of certified experience.
• Experience abstracting CPT, E/M, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM codes from documentation.

Responsibilities

• Abstract all E/M, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, units from medical records.
• Enter data into client software and/or Excel reports accurately.
• Evaluate physician documentation quality for quality improvement.
• Perform accurate coding following guidelines and client protocols.
• Communicate with clients/providers for clarifications and documentation gaps.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on schedules and workload.
