Job summary

RTX seeks a Program Supplier Assurance Engineer (PSQE) to serve as the primary quality interface with Raytheon programs and supplier teams. The role involves extensive onsite supplier assessments, First Article Inspection, source inspection, and continuous improvement activities, with 50% travel to Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and other Midwest states.

This remote position requires a DoD Secret clearance and will require home office setup; visits to supplier facilities are occasional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math required.
• 2 years of relevant experience in quality engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or aerospace quality standards.
• Experience interpreting schematics and hardware inspection techniques.
• Experience with SPC, APQP, and continuous improvement in supplier settings.
• Experience presenting metrics to leadership and suppliers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flow down of product requirements to internal and sub-tier suppliers.
• Explain requirements to ensure supplier understanding and compliance.
• Drive supplier quality improvements using RCA, Six Sigma, and Lean tools.
• Apply APQP to supplier performance and process improvements.
• Perform defect data analysis with program managers to develop supplier improvement plans.
• Lead multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement.
• Identify supplier risk and develop mitigation plans to reduce defects.
• Support containment activities for discrepant material with stakeholders.
• Drive supplier corrective action processes and monitor closure.
• Represent quality during review boards on supplier changes and tests.
